What Can Individual Therapy Help You With?

Individual therapy can help you to better understand what you're going through, identify unhelpful patterns and develop the emotional resources necessary to cope with challenges in a more mindful and resilient way. The process focuses not only on relieving symptoms, but also on understanding the underlying factors behind your feelings, as well as improving the way you relate to yourself and others.

  • Anxiety and Stress

Symptoms include constant worry, feeling on edge, physical and mental strain, difficulty unwinding or resting, repetitive thoughts and persistent fear.

  • Depression and Other Mood-Related Concerns

Persistent sadness, apathy, irritability, lack of motivation, a feeling of emptiness, or a loss of interest in activities that were once enjoyable.

  • Self-Esteem and Self-Connection

Excessive self-criticism, guilt, insecurity, difficulty setting boundaries, prioritising yourself or trusting your own decisions.

  • Cross-Cultural Issues

Difficulties or considerations that arise from cultural differences and have the potential to influence communication, understanding and interactions among individuals or groups from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Recovery From Narcissistic Abuse and Coercive Control

Confusion, guilt, emotional exhaustion, gaslighting, emotional dependence, fear, or a loss of self-confidence following relationships characterised by manipulation, control or psychological abuse.

How Do I Work in Individual Therapy?

My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based. Rather than adhering to a singular model, I tailor the therapeutic process to each individual by combining tools from various psychological approaches, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), based on your needs and goals.

We will work together to build a therapeutic process that respects your pace, timing, and unique values.
