Evidence-based psychotherapy with a personalized approach

I work with adults and adolescents in Spanish and English. My approach is integrative and evidence-based, which means I tailor therapy to each individual, drawing on tools from different psychological approaches – primarily Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to support you with warmth, respect, and without judgement.

Language plays an important role in how we think, feel, and make sense of our experiences. That’s why being able to conduct therapy in the language in which you express yourself most freely and confidently can make a real difference to the therapeutic process.

What situations can I help you with?

I support adults and adolescents who want to better understand themselves, ease emotional distress, and regain stability and a sense of commitment to their personal values. If any of these goals resonate with you, we can explore them together in therapy:

Stress and Anxiety

Persistent worry about current or future events, physical and mental tension, a constant sense of alertness, and difficulty switching off or relaxing.

Persistent sadness, apathy, irritability, lack of motivation, or a sense of emptiness.

Perfectionism, guilt, insecurity, difficulty setting boundaries or prioritizing yourself.

Narcissistic abuse, fear, isolation, manipulation, control, or relationships that make you feel trapped or powerless. Support for leaving and recovering from high-control relationships, organizations and groups.

Regardless of whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve had previous experience, together we can find an effective approach that suits you and your current situation.

About Me

Hi, I’m Nira.

I am a general health psychologist from Vancouver, Canada, and I work with adults and adolescents who are dealing with stress, anxiety, mood-related concerns, and recovery from narcissistic abuse and coercive control.  I also specialise in working with cross-cultural issues, drawing from my formal training, alongside my own lived experience.

My approach is integrative and evidence-based. This involves tailoring therapy to each individual, combining techniques from various psychological approaches – primarily Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to help you make sense of your experiences, regain emotional autonomy, and build more secure and healthy relationships.

I believe in the importance of creating a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental therapeutic space, where you can feel heard and supported throughout your journey. I work in both Spanish and  English, tailoring sessions to your linguistic and cultural needs so that you can express yourself freely and confidently.

If you’re at a point where you feel that something needs to change, want to understand yourself better or want to find or regain a sense of calm and levity, I’d be delighted to support you.
